Frequently Asked Questions

QWhy should my business use Rogers Transport for our transport and logistics needs?

We’re different from the other transport companies out there. Rogers Transport doesn’t just linehaul goods; we offer a complete end-to-end service that includes container cartage, unpacking, storage, local and interstate distribution and even truck hire—and everything’s tailored to what you need. We know that the needs of every business aren’t the same, so we formulate a logistics strategy that specifically caters to your business’ needs.

Our customer service is also what sets us apart. Everyone, from top management to our drivers, wants the smoothest, most efficient solution for you, and we’re not afraid to push ourselves harder for it. You’ll always be able to talk with us, and with the same person, so that we can build our relationship with you. In our eyes, you are first, and we believe that our strong work ethic and customer service are what get the best results.

QHow can I be sure that my goods are safe when they're being transported or stored?

Each and every one of our vehicles is fitted with advanced GPS tracking devices, and we have developed systems with Navman Wireless to assure the well-being of your goods. To keep our own high standard of safety for our drivers and our cargo, we perform maintenance on all our vehicles entirely within our own workshop.

Our 6,000 square metre warehouse facility is completely secure, with high-grade locks and security systems. Each of the warehousing employees is diligent when monitoring and handling goods, and their experience in managing all sorts of items, like chemicals and steel, ensures that your goods are safe in their capable hands.

QAs part of your distribution service, where do you transport to?

Because we have interstate divisions in Queensland, New South Wales and Victoria, we travel between Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne daily, as well as along North Queensland daily—through Mackay and Rockhampton etc.—to distribute goods. Our local delivery service, operating from our Rocklea warehouse, transports unpacked goods throughout the Brisbane area each day.

QYour business has grown quite large over 30 years, are you really still family-owned

We are! Even though we’ve grown to over 60 employees, Rogers Transport it still owned by the Rogers family, and we like to think that all of our employees are family. Our founder, Gary Rogers, is still the company director, and he plays an active part in managing the company that he founded 3 decades ago.

Because we’re still a personable, family-owned business, we’re in touch with what our customers need. We’ve not strayed from Gary’s original goals of delivering on our promises, and providing quality service.

QHave you fully recovered from the 2011 Queensland Floods?

When Brisbane was swamped by the flood crisis in 2011, our premises were inundated with little warning. In fact, our Rocklea depot went under 15 metres of water, which resulted in a huge loss of records, stock, 9 trucks and 13 trailers. However, even in the weeks after the disaster, our clients stood by us—a testament to the relationships we’ve formed over the years.

Although it was a blow that many others would never recover from, we bounced back with conviction, and in only 6 weeks we got our site operational again. Rogers Transport is now stronger than ever. We’ve continuously expanded our fleet, and doubled our efforts to improve and build upon our service offerings.
